John Le Cras
Director

John has 40 years experience in journalism, public relations, marketing and as a corporate adviser to dozens of companies and organisations. Starting work as a newspaper reporter in 1982, John worked at the ABC as a radio and TV reporter before moving to the Seven Network where he worked as a reporter, senior producer and ended his career in the media as Director of News and Current Affairs with editorial management of Seven News and Today Tonight.

John then worked in corporate affairs for one of Australia’s biggest health insurance companies, HBF and later as its General Manager of Marketing & Communications. During that time John initiated the HBF Run for a Reason and oversaw the rebranding of the organisation. John also served as Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications at Murdoch University where he relaunched its brand. Since establishing JLCA ten years ago, he has provided advice to dozens of clients across companies operating in almost every sector of the economy, including government agencies and the notforprofit sector.

John’s passion is marketing and communications strategy and he enjoys the privilege of applying his experience and knowledge built up over 40 years to help clients achieve their corporate objectives, large and small.

Tara Mulholland
Strategic Marketing

Tara has 17 years experience as a communications and marketing specialist working in almost all industry sectors across the facets of communications. She worked extensively in the aged care, mining and resources and not-for-profit sectors, delivering programatic content, strategic communications and issues management. Tara’s knowledge and background sees her providing advice and support to clients in a wide range of corporate sectors with a core focus on strategic marketing and communications.

Tara’s career began as the digital transformation of marketing was beginning and so she has a significant depth of understanding and expertise in how clients can use the full suite of tools and platforms to reach their audiences in the most effective way.  This spans all major digital and social platforms of which she has a particular passion.

In particular, Tara’s focus is on helping clients use the enormous capability offered by the technological revolution to achieve their desired outcome.  Tara’s work encompasses a very wide range of assignments whether it be in lifting brand profile, driving sales, navigating risk to brand and reputation and creating and executing award winning campaigns.

Megan Putland
Corporate Communications

Megan is a highly experienced corporate communications practitioner, highly regarded by her clients for her capacity to overcome even the most complex of challenges.  Megan is also a “digital native” – someone for whom the use of online and social tools to connect with audiences is just second nature.  However, Megan brings a creative flair and eye for detail to her experience in overseeing major internal and external communication programs, the planning and production of almost every form of corporate publication as well as events and website creation and management.

Clients love working with Megan because of her capability to build strong and trusting relationships that enables her to gain a comprehensive understanding of what they want to achieve.

Lee-Anne Whalley
Communications & Digital Specialist

Lee-Anne has over 20 years of experience in PR, marketing and digital communications. She has gained much of her strategic communications experience working with high profile brands such as Microsoft, Virgin Money, Dimension Data, BHP Billiton and AMP Financial Services.

From her formative years as an account executive in South Africa, Lee-Anne has always had a keen interest in all things technology which is what led her to change course in her career and focus on digital marketing, where she built on her expertise in SEO and website design.

Lee-Anne is passionate about helping businesses to succeed and exceed the objectives that they have set for themselves with a mix of communications activities. She excels at developing engaging content and implementing marketing and communications strategies.

Luke Le Cras
Writer & Researcher

As a published author, historian and researcher, Luke brings his expertise to corporate clients across a wide range of projects.  Although he is reticent to use the title, Luke has a PhD with career highlights including being commissioned by UK publishing house, Routledge. Outside of his academic pursuits, Luke is an immensely talented writer who can turn his hand to producing highly engaging copy for any form of medium or publication.

Luke’s skills as a researcher bring an added dimension to what JLCA can offer clients with his analytical mind enabling him to quickly establish an understanding of complex subject areas and then translate them into a written form able to be understood by those with little or no technical background.

Angela Clegg
Marketing Consultant

Angela has a degree in communications and hands on experience working client side, in ad agencies and as a Digital Account Manager, bringing a diverse range of skills to the JLCA team.  Her in-depth understanding of brand and exceptional organisational skills are what make her excel at implementing marketing strategies.

Throughout her career, she has worked with a wide range of clients including those in the retail, corporate, construction, aged care and government sectors.  As well as consulting, she has worked in-house for building and landscaping companies, gaining specialist skills in the construction sector and enhancing her ability to view things from a client’s perspective when it comes to delivering on marketing needs.

Angela has hands-on experience creating social media plans, project managing website builds, writing content and interpreting digital analytics.

Carrie Anderson
Finance Manager

Carrie is our experienced finance guru and an essential part of JLCA behind the scenes.

Having specialised in the marketing and communication sectors for much of her career, Carrie holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of South Africa and has an extensive track record in finance and management. Above all else, Carrie is a finance professional who prides herself on helping us make sure our business relationships with clients enable rapid and precise responses at all times.

Carrie also happens to be an award-winning triathlete in her spare time, which means she is by far the fittest member of the team.
